Congratulations to Shoili Banerjee on being awarded the Rutgers CBE Department Senior Researcher-Scholar Award. Dr. Chundawat had the pleasure of presenting this award to Shoili at the annual CBE Awards & Trivia Night. Shoili has worked in the Chundawat lab since her sophomore year on engineering and characterizing cellulose synthase enzymes involved in plant cell wall biosynthesis (closely mentored by PhD student DJ). Shoili is now gearing up to start her PhD research this fall (she is deciding between going to the west coast or staying on the east coast for her PhD…we will post updates here soon!).
